Age-graded Bible study for every generation — children, youth, young adults, and seniors. Meets before morning worship. Currently expanding into a full Christian Education pathway.
ActiveOur primary weekly gathering — expository preaching, congregational praise, Scripture reading, prayer, and the invitation. Traditional gospel worship with a warm, participatory spirit.
Every SundayWednesday evenings — deep, verse-by-verse study of God's Word. A smaller, intimate setting for questions, discussion, and spiritual growth. Open to all members and guests.
Every WednesdayOur servant-leadership team cares for the congregation's practical and spiritual needs. Deacons serve as spiritual fathers to assigned members, providing visitation, support, and accountability. Currently four active deacons under a formal training and accountability structure.
Active — ExpandingCompassionate care during seasons of loss, illness, and difficulty. Our care ministry provides hospital visitation, grief support, crisis follow-up, and ongoing pastoral counseling. No one walks through hard times alone at Second Timothy.
ActiveMental and emotional wellness is part of whole-person discipleship. We provide pastoral mental health awareness through sermon series, community resource referrals, and partnerships with licensed Christian counselors in the Springfield area.
ActiveBrotherhood, accountability, and servant leadership development for the men of Second Timothy. Focused on godly identity, family leadership, and community responsibility. Meets regularly for study, fellowship, and service projects.
ActiveA space for the women of our church to grow spiritually, encourage one another, and deepen their walk with God. Bible study, fellowship events, mentoring relationships, and a heart for service mark this ministry.
ActiveSpiritual formation and community for the young people of Second Timothy — anchored in Scripture, relevant to their world, and committed to raising the next generation of disciples. Growing in faith, Scripture, and community as part of our church family.
ActiveWe are called to bless Springfield, not just ourselves. Our outreach includes urban cleanup initiatives, food and resource distribution, back-to-school drives, and neighborhood service partnerships. We believe the church must be seen and felt in the community.
Active — GrowingHonoring the saints who have faithfully served. Our elder care ministry provides practical support, dignified visitation, transportation assistance, and spiritual companionship for our senior members who form the backbone of our congregation.
ActivePersonal witness training, intentional community evangelism, door-to-door partnership initiatives, and digital outreach. Every member of Second Timothy is called to be a witness — we simply equip and deploy them with confidence and training.
ActiveOur 6-week Foundations Class is designed for those exploring membership at Second Timothy. We cover Baptist doctrine, our church covenant, spiritual disciplines, and what it means to be a committed part of this body. No obligation to join — just come and learn.
